You may have noticed I’ve been on quite the self-development journey lately. Honestly, “journey” might not even cut it—this feels more like an intense, deep dive into the depths of myself. Maybe you’ve come across mentions of the “5D” or the “New Earth” on the internet and wondered, What the heck does that even mean?
Let me share a bit of my experience. Recently, I’ve stumbled upon something extraordinary—actually, more than once. I can’t pinpoint exactly where it all started, but I do know my first glimpses of this “otherness” happened during my early experiences with psychedelics. While I’m always cautious and intentional with what I try, my brief encounters with psilocybin mushrooms, LSD, cannabis, and even an ayahuasca ceremony all seemed to reveal the same thing in different ways.
Each experience involved confronting something dark or hidden within me. And if I was courageous enough to face that darkness head-on, I was rewarded with light, love, and an undeniable sense of connectedness. You know, those feelings we’re all searching for, whether we realize it or not.
But here’s the kicker: more recently, I’ve experienced those same blissful, altered states of consciousness—without any substances at all.
So, how did it happen?
It usually came after moments of true intimacy. And I’m not talking about physical affection; I mean raw, heart-on-the-table, soul-baring honesty. Like opening up to a parent about how they hurt or disappointed you (not exactly easy) or sharing a deeply personal secret with a group of trusted women. In these moments, I took off my mask and let others see the real me. And the reward? A profound shift in consciousness.
But here’s where the real work begins: experiencing these states requires you to ask yourself hard, honest questions.
- Why am I afraid to connect with people or speak my truth?
- Where in my life am I running away from the opportunity to connect?
- Am I entertaining dead-end connections instead of nurturing ones that truly matter?
These aren’t easy questions to answer. Facing them means looking deeply at yourself and your life and being willing to make changes. It might mean cutting ties with people or patterns that no longer serve you, or stepping into discomfort to build intimacy with yourself and others. And when you do, the reward becomes clear: deeper connection, clarity, and an unshakable sense of authenticity.
What is the 5D?
The 5D, often referred to as the fifth dimension or heart-based consciousness, is a state of being where love, connection, and authenticity become the foundation of your experience. It’s not something easily explained—it’s something you feel. For me, the closest comparison would be the clarity and openness some people describe while on mushrooms or other plant medicines, but even that doesn’t fully capture it.
It feels light. Your whole heart and chest seem to open, not just metaphorically but almost physically, as though a bright light is glowing from within. Your thoughts shift; it feels like you’re thinking from your heart instead of your mind. Things that once seemed complicated or confusing about your life suddenly make sense. Decisions that felt impossible become clear. It’s a state of pure, open authenticity.
But here’s the most surprising part: I’ve experienced this naturally, without the help of plant medicines. These moments of connection and clarity have shown up during true intimacy—not physical, but emotional and spiritual. They’ve arrived in moments of raw honesty, vulnerability, and deep self-reflection.
Since discovering this, I’ve been driven to return to this state as often as possible. This longing has fueled my self-work: dismantling limiting beliefs, having hard conversations—even the ones that scare me—and analyzing my patterns and the ways the world around me operates. It’s about breaking free from old paradigms and stepping into a more expansive way of being.
Why am I sharing this?
Maybe this sounds like some “hippie nonsense,” or maybe it feels privileged or unattainable. I don’t know. But if this concept or possibility hasn’t crossed your path yet, I wanted to introduce it in plain, honest language—because I think that’s part of my purpose here.
The whole point is to strip away the conditioning of society, broken systems, toxic environments, and the lies you’ve told yourself. To let go of the roles you think you have to play and return to your authentic self.
That’s all the New Earth is: Being you—unencumbered, limitless, and deeply connected.
It’s finally realizing why you are here. It’s when you stop resisting yourself and surrender. It’s stepping bravely into the unknown and allowing it to delight you.
I’m still working on it myself, but even the small steps are necessary. And once you start to remember the truth of yourself… you also get to remember that absolutely everything is possible. You get to believe in magic again… and who wouldn’t want that?
